The SCCANZ Skin Conference 2010 will feature an outstanding faculty of international and domestic experts including Prof Ash Marghoob (New York, USA),  Prof Harold Rabinovitz, Margaret Oliviero (Florida, USA), Prof Scott Menzies (Sydney), Prof John Kelly (Melbourne) and Dr Jonathon Stretch (Sydney) and be be conducuted over the 3 days of the Anzac Day long week-end, 24th - 26th April

Conference highlights include: Diagnosis and management of sun-damaged "digger's" skin, the latest in skin cancer and melanoma research, advanced melanoma and NMSC, extra-cutaneous melanoma, surgical workshops - both basic and advanced, skin cancer Nurse Practitioner workshops (full day), the latest technologies in skin cancer diagnosis and management, digital imaging and Total Body Photography workshops, general dermatology essentials, cosmetic basics and introductory dermoscopy training workshops.

International Dermoscopy Masterclass will run from Tuesday 27th to Friday 30th April and be conducted by Ash Marghoob, Harold Rabinovitz, Margaret Oliviero, Scott Menzies and Richard Williamson. 

A substantially reduced accommodation rate of $185.00 per night has been arranged with the Sheraton Mirage Hotel for these events. ANZAC Day will obviously be respected and transport from the Sheraton Mirage will be organised for the Dawn Service. A General Meeting of the Skin Cancer College of Australia and New Zealand will be held on Saturday 24th April. A large trade display will feature  a wide array of the major skin cancer related products and services.

All profits from the 2010 Conference and International Dermoscopy Masterclass will be retained by the Skin Cancer College of Australia and New Zealand for future use with future education events and research.

Now in its 7th year, this annual 3 day event is recognised internationally as being the premium skin cancer meeting on the Australian calendar. The 2010 event will feature world famous international and local experts and a diverse programme covering the latest in skin cancer research and management, practical dermatology, clinical photography and cosmetic medicine.

As the Sunday on the Conference is Anzac Day, lectures on managing skin cancer on "digger's" sun damaged skin will be presented as well as surgical and non-surgical tretaments. Both beginners and advanced surgical workshop programmes will run concurrently.

A new feature of the conference will be a dedicated Skin Cancer Nurse Practitioner education programme.

Registration includes morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. The social programme includes Welcome Drinks on the Saturday night. The Conference Dinner (not included in registration) will be on the Sunday night.

International Dermoscopy Masterclass

TUES 27th - FRI 30th APRIL

 

Australia’s premier 4 day intensive dermoscopy workshop with world leading experts instructing delegates on the art and science of skin lesion diagnosis. This course is designed to be suitable for not only more experienced doctors and nurses with existing expertise in dermsocopy, but also those who are new to dermsocopy. Total dermoscopy novices may wish to attend the basic dermoscopy training workshop at the preceding conference and then attend this as a fast track to their dermoscopy training. 

A pass in the International Dermoscopy Masterclass post course assessment is  recognised as satisfying the dermoscopy training requirements for Fellowship of the Skin Cancer College of Australia.

Registration includes daily buffet breakfast, morning tea, buffet lunch, and afternoon tea. The popular Masterclass "meet the speakers" dinner is also included and will be held on the Tuesday evening. Please book early to avoid disappointment as this event was sold out last year.
